Thing 14 Podcasting & Bookmarking

Podcasting via using the iTunesU sounds promising. They claim to have world’s largest online catalog of free education content. I look forward to using it, however most of what I found seems beneficial for the upper levels.

However, I was able to create a Podcast of Super Fab and Mrs. Haring introducing Science Buddies. This was so much fun to make, once I got comfortable with the software. Adding the difference music with voice and dog barks made the podcast super entertaining to the kids and our parents. I used audacity to create my podcast.

Here is one I found on podbean that has video and voice.

Screencasting is an additional resource that I have discovered and look forward to using once I am able to use the flipped classroom model with my kids. I'm still trying to find away to get technology into their hands.

Bookmarking tools like Scoop It and Delicious have been an amazing bust to surfing for me. I will never lose a really cool site again, nor will I have crazy long favorites tabs saved on one computer. With bookmarking, you are able to create "favorites" and organize them by subject/topic, then you are able to view them from any device! If you are a Pinterest fan, you already know about bookmarking! It's great :)
